Chando is a resident of New York City. Chando was an undergraduate in Manhattan College when she became an actress. Chando played the character of Maddie Coleman in the TV soap opera As The World Turns from 2005-2007 and for a few months from late 2009 onwards when she returned to the character. Alexandra made her debut in 2002 on House Blend in 2002 as Jenna Harper. She played Maddie Coleman in the CBS soap As the World Turns for three seasons. Chando was also a part of the lead actress in a documentary TV series in the US, True life, and appeared in Sherri. The actress starred in two episodes of the American television show drama-comedy Glory Daze. The credits on her TV show also include Castle and Hindsight.
